Jaya Lakshmi
Jaya Lakshmi is a musician, singer/songwriter, yoga teacher and retreat facilitator. She is known for her authentic and deep devotional spirit as well as playing an important part in establishing kirtan and mantra music in the west. She has led kirtan and has been writing devotional songs for three decades and is a student of the bhakti path. She has released four solo chant albums on Sequoia Records, and 19 albums in total, as well as being the lead singer of the tribal-trance band Lost at Last. She is the creator of “Kirtronica”—electronica music with mantra designed for ecstatic dance. A dedicated yogi, Jaya has regularly practiced various forms of yoga for nearly three decades. In May of 2021 she established her bi-annual Goddess Empowerment and Healing Retreat for women to help women integrate Goddess teachings of the Vedas into their lives.
